Gilbert & Barker 1930 model 105 SUPER RARE

$3,500.00

Description

Maybe the earliest Gilbert and Barker electric pump in Australia?? 1930 model #105. Illustrations shown of the 1929 model with front mounted visibowl, this one is the second version introduced in 1930. This is a super rare pump and even though it looks shabby it would be a straight forward restoration project, top cast canopy and cast base are in VGC. Frame is simple pipe construction that could be repaired or replaced. Panels are missing but a simple 2 sided style with size and corner radius governed by ‘step’ on top and base castings. Bennett clock faces supplied could easily be cut down and the Bennett name obscured. G&B die cut panel logos, aluminium model number badge and spun rings suitable for use as bezels all supplied with this pump. If we were to restore this pump it would sell for around $10,000……. Really a very nice piece of early history. $3500
